I love a simple t-shirt. I’ve talked about it before (click here to see my oh-so-versatile white tee), but a t-shirt can take you from hanging out with the kids to dinner out with friends in a heartbeat. Add some pretty, shiny things and a pair of fabulous shoes, and you’re good to go. I paired this Target top with a J Crew paper bag waisted skirt, and a bold necklace (also from J Crew).
Speaking of fabulous shoes, I am in love with this pair. Talk about a wise investment – I bought these Michael Kors beauties 7 (yes SEVEN!) years ago and they are every bit as great today as they were back then.
I thought the lucite beads on the necklace were a perfect match for the clear straps on my shoes. Because it’s such a chunky statement piece, I refrained from wearing any other jewels to let this one stand out.
If you look closely, you can see the reflection of my camera in each bead!

Hopefully you’ve made it through this post without being blinded by my incredibly pale legs. Don’t go thinking that’s about to change now that summer’s on its way – me and my SPF 50 are pretty tight. I’ve made my peace with being pallid!

Black, white and read all over too! Ann Taylor pants, finally found my perfect solid black pair that will NOT go through the drier this time; white short sleeve sweater, b/c my office is ALWAYS freezing; and red necklace, earrings and shoes (Isaac Mizrahi).
I love this outfit! This is exactly my style – classic, clean lines with a few solid colors and great accent pieces

Great and very simple outfit…love it! Right now I am wearing black yoga pants and a hot pink t…wish it was because i went to work out…just for a walk around the lake a few times!
