Weekly Buzz – A Little Something I’ve Been Working On

Every Friday I like to take a moment and highlight something I’m particularly excited about at the time.

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you have heard so much about tomorrow’s Pop Up Shop that you could practically host the event without me.

And if at this point you’re thinking to yourself, “What in the world is this Pop Up Shop of which she speaks?” you are clearly new to Wild Ruffle, and in that case let me just say, “Hello, glad to meet ya – and welcome!”

It’s going to be quite the party, and let me tell you – I am beside myself with excitement over it. When I dreamt this event up in my head months and months ago, it was a lovely picture indeed. But the way it has all come together is far beyond what I could have hoped for.

The list of vendors is quite amazing, really. Many of them will be bringing items with them that you won’t find anywhere else. Several are offering online deals for those of you who live too far away to join the festivities. Be sure to click here to see the entire rundown of special promotions.

Mannequin Betty has been hard at work in the Wild Ruffle workshop, bravely holding up under the weight of the many beads and baubles I’ve hung around her neck. Earrings of every size, shape, and color are ready to be packed up and transported to the event. My children’s line is all set to go in all its brightly colored glory.

Now all we need is you!

There are so many of you whom I’ve only met via Twitter, Facebook, on the phone, or here on the blog. I’m really excited to see so many of you in real life for the first time!

There’s something so special about buying local – supporting the ‘little guy’ who is putting everything on the line to bring their dream to life. Each of the vendors participating own their shops or are reps of amazing companies that allow them to be their own boss. This is your opportunity to buy something for the people on your gift-giving list they won’t find anywhere else. It’s a chance to give a small business a boost. And at the same time, it’s a time for you to have a blast.

Hope to see you sometime between 9 and 1 tomorrow in downtown Prior Lake (next to the library!).

If there’s one item I’m saving my pennies for, it’s shoes. So when ShoeDazzle shared with me how their personal styling program works,… [Continue Reading]

  • These are a little past due – since I’ve been home for over a month now. But I promised to show pictures from my trip to Paris (check out my London pics here), and I’ve finally found time to do so. While there, I had one of the best meals of my life at a… [Continue Reading]

  • I was clearing out old photos and realized I never posted these pictures! Clearly, they are from at least a week ago, since there’s still snow on the ground (that’s a little MN humor, since our winter lasted for approximately forever this year!). Beginning soon, my pics will include my new updated hair. I’m back… [Continue Reading]

  • I love to use mason jars in all kinds of ways. We drink out of them. I use them as vases. They’re an easy vessel for candles. And what’s cuter than a little token of friendship, planted in a mason jar and tied up with a burlap strip? Not much, I tell ya. In honor… [Continue Reading]

  • I’m trying to think of something, anything, other than to complain about the crazy weather we’ve been having around here. But it’s sorta hard to do. One minute it’s beautiful and sunny, the next moment it’s gloomy and drizzling, and the next? I’m practically blown away from insane wind gusts. But it’s all good. Cuz… [Continue Reading]
