Haloed

My friend Jen Joas is as sweet as can be, and a hugely successful business woman in her own right. I love the story behind her company, UrbanHalo – and I think it’s incredible and exciting that it’s grown to the point that her husband has now joined the family business. Jen was at our last Pop Up Shop, and I’m thrilled that she’s coming back once again for the Spring Boutique (on Thursday, May 3rd from 5:30-9 pm).

I’ll let her tell you about herself in her own words.

“Hello!  My name is Jen and I believe that accessories should be as much functional as they are fashionable.  As a runner, stay-at-home mom, and group fitness junkie I was always on the lookout for the perfect headband… one that was stylish enough to take me from the studio to preschool pickup, but functional enough to stay in place without giving me a headache.  After much searching and even more disappointment, I sat down in front of my sewing machine with the cutest fabric I could get my hands on and the first UrbanHalo was born!

A lot has changed since that 1st headband was sewn. I quickly discovered that the right material is key to the function of a headband… so after many searches, samples and tests, persistence paid off with the perfect fabric. Now, this perfect, buttery soft signature fabric is custom printed {in the fabulous USA} in each season’s hottest prints and colors. As I began sharing the “halo love” with friends and family, word spread and today UrbanHalos can now be found across the US and in Canada!”

Jen is offering a special buy two get one free deal on Thursday night – now you can stock up and look cute whether you’re at the gym or living your everyday life. She’ll be located over at Edelweiss Bakery along with Premier Designs, so head on over and snack on some yummy treats while you’re there!

  • Just because you want to be comfortable, doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style. In stretch cotton head to toe, I still felt put together in my casual maxi and layered tanks. I’ll be wearing some version of this all this week as we vacation in Florida. Minus the 5.5 inch heels, perhaps.;) What’s your… [Continue Reading]

    Casual Day
  • I’m 4 days into our Florida family vacation, and I am loving this time with my family. Disney was a wee bit crazy, with 90 degree temps and blazing sun both days. But hey – it could be snowing! I’ll take it. Now we’re just relaxing on the beach, and eating as much ice cream… [Continue Reading]

  • Sometimes it’s the little details that make the outfit. The flutter sleeve. The ombre earring. A super tall pair of shoes. And my little four year old daughter capturing it all on film. Remember when I shared this? Hard to believe a full school year has already passed! top – via swap, earrings – H&M,… [Continue Reading]

    The Little Things
  • It should come to no surprise to anyone that I have a thing for shoes. I’ve shared my love for my favorite ones here as well as my tips for organizing them. If there’s one item I’m saving my pennies for, it’s shoes. So when ShoeDazzle shared with me how their personal styling program works,… [Continue Reading]

    Wild About You
  • These are a little past due – since I’ve been home for over a month now. But I promised to show pictures from my trip to Paris (check out my London pics here), and I’ve finally found time to do so. While there, I had one of the best meals of my life at a… [Continue Reading]
