If you sent me an email last week, this was the response you received:

For the most part, I stuck to it, and it felt really good. It’s nice to have such easy access to the entire world, but it’s also nice to put the iPhone down every once in awhile and focus solely on family time.

We started the week by heading to our yearly get away in Waupaca with my in-laws. It’s the kind of spot where the most dressed up you get is to throw a coverup on for our nightly walks to the ice cream shop. The kids spent more time in the water than out of it, and everyone had a great time.

After returning home, we had less than 24 hours to prepare to host a family reunion for my side of the family. I’m fortunate to be part of a family who enjoys hanging out together, and I’m already looking forward to next year. We capped off the week with dinner outside with a lovely sunset as our lighting.

I hope you’re getting a chance to enjoy your family this summer too!
