The end of the year (and in this case, a whole decade!) is always a great time to look back and view your life in hindsight. It's a time of reflection, and for me, a time to see all that the Lord has done.

And the beginning of the year is a fantastic reason to look ahead to what's to come.

The combination of all that's happened recently, and what's to come for our business has me spinning - in a really good way.

You see, there's no way that I'd be standing in the spot I'm in without divine intervention. I know Tammy would stand in agreement that Wild Ruffle is nothing without the Lord by our sides throughout all that we do. But 2019 in particular has had some really exciting things brewing... and we can't wait to see all that comes in 2020.

Some of you may know that I took a trip to Russia (and threw a little time in Poland too) this past fall. On one of our first days in country, we visited a local church for a service, and I was blown away by how the Lord spoke to me there.

Pastor Sasha's message was based on Proverbs 16:9, which says, "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps." He talked about how many times we're frozen by indecision, waiting on the Lord to do great things, and instead, we are to start walking, and God will get alongside us and direct us to where we need to go.

And then he said something that hasn't left my mind since: "The Lord directs your steps, not your standing."

I wish I could share with you all the incredible things that the Lord has put in place for our next steps at WR. He's opened doors and he's practically handed us each piece of a bigger puzzle we're putting together for our long term plans. I'm super excited to share them all with you when the timing is right!

But the Lord needs me to keep going. To take the next steps. To continue walking. Because he's excited to get in step with me and direct me as I go.

If you have plans you've been waiting on because they seem scary or too big, I'd encourage you to start walking them out. Get one foot in front of the other until you're walking in confidence. I promise God will show you where to go from there if you keep your eyes focused on him!

Let's make 2020 a year to move forward together! Big things are waiting for us if we just start walking toward them.
