One of the beautiful things to have come out of the pandemic has been that we've discovered heroes can come in all shapes and forms.

We've watched our healthcare workers fighting on the frontlines, spending hours on their feet battling to keep this disease under control. Teachers have switched up life as they know it, connecting with their students through a screen and fighting for those kids to continue learning in a whole new way. Grocery store employees have worked overtime to try to stock those shelves, so that you and I can have access to our essentials. As the days and months have passed us by during these crazy times, our eyes have been opened as to just what a hero can look like.

But in our eyes, you're the hero in the Wild Ruffle story. In the Prior Lake story.

Because YOU are the one who gets to determine whether we make it out of this whole thing. You all have been amazing, continuing to shop and support us even while our brick and mortar location was closed. Every time an online sale alert came in, we did a little happy dance. You helped to keep our lights on, in a time when being closed could've meant disaster.

Prior Lake's Main Avenue is dotted with fantastic boutiques, restaurants, and other small businesses that help to give this little lake town the charm we are known for. And now small retailers have finally been approved for curbside pick up, which means you can once again see us all in person.

Stop downtown Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between noon and 2:00 and you'll find several of the shops ready to help you out, in a safe and responsible manner. Though we aren't allowed to let you through the door just yet, masked employees will bring your purchases right to your car. Make a day of it, with a stop at shops like Grace + Gumption - owned by a pair of friends who love fashion and faith AND who just celebrated their one year shop anniversary in quarantine.

Pop over to the Laker Store, an institution in this town that's been open for 35 years. Spring sports may have been canceled, but being a Laker fan never goes out of style. Keep meandering, and you'll find several other boutiques ready for curbside service, with everything from children's items, menswear, shoes, jewelry, clothing, home goods, and more.

Edelweiss Bakery is now open for takeout, and you know you'll want to stock up on some sweet treats while you're there. Speaking of sweet, no day on Main Ave is complete without a stop by Lakeside Eats and Treats for ice cream or a super tasty açaí bowl. End your day by making dinner easy - PLate and Sul Lago both have delicious options sure to make a meal at home a special occasion. Pair it with beer from Boathouse Brothers and you’re all set.

Spending your money at any of these establishments makes a difference in people's lives. Don't see something you love on our website? I promise you'll something perfect for you at one of the other downtown shops.

We've got something special on Main Ave. It's a small community, and there are real people (and their families who depend on them) behind each and every business there. Many of them stand on the brink of closure, and the landscape of our downtown would be all the worse if that happens.

But YOU get to change the narrative. You're the hero in this story, and curbside pickup offers a new opportunity to safely support the small businesses you've come to know and love. We hope to see you during curbside hours!

Midday Monday, Wed, Fri tough for you? We're also available for pick up by appointment as well. And yes - we ship just about anywhere too!
